Aromar Revi, Director, Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS)
Aromar Revi is the Director of the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS) and has over 35 years of interdisciplinary experience working on sustainable development, public policy and governance, human settlements, and global environmental and technological change. Over more than a dozen years, he has built IIHS into a world-leading education, research, training, advisory and implementation institution with a focus on the multi-dimensional challenges and opportunities of sustainable urbanisation. Director Revi is a member of the Lancet Pathfinders Commission as well as the Task Force on Global Health Diplomacy and Cooperation of the Lancet COVID-19 Commission. He serves as Co-Chair of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and is a member of the Ubuntu Advisory Board of the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) President, UN-Habitat’s Stakeholder Advisory Group, and (formerly) of the Managing Board of Cities Alliance.
Director Revi is an alumnus of IIT-Delhi and the Law and Management schools of the University of Delhi.
