Cunrui Huang

Dr. Cunrui Huang is a Professor and Department Chair of Health Policy & Management, in the School of Public Health at Sun Yat-sen University in China. He is the Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Lead author of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, and China National Committee Member of Future Earth. Dr. Huang’s research focuses on the health impacts of climate change and extreme events, especially on more vulnerable populations. He has published over 100 articles in prestigious journals and his work has been featured in many media outlets. Dr. Huang is also committed to build and strengthen the Collaborative Network on Climate Change and Health Research under the Belt & Road Initiative.
