Dr. Gerry Eijkemans has over 25 years of experience in public health, primarily for the World Health Organization. Prior to assuming her current role, she served as WHO/PAHO Representative for Mexico, and previously Suriname, Bahamas and Turks and Caicos. Her research interests focus on the interactions between the social determinants of health, health promotion, and urban health. She holds a MD from the University of Nijmegen and an MPH from Johns Hopkins University.
